Melton Mowbray Events: 2013 onwards
Melton Mowbray is a vibrant market town in North East Leicestershire with a historical twice weekly market, including a large cattle market on Tuesdays serving the local farming community. Promoted as the "Rural Capital of Food", Melton is perhaps best known for its culinary specialities, being the home of the Melton Mowbray Pork Pie and the primary base for Stilton Cheese.
Of course Meltonians love to celebrate other local traditions as well, one of which is their enjoyment of music of all styles. There is the highly regarded Melton Mowbray Choral Society, the Melton Mowbray Musical Theatre Company and lots of local bands and entertainers in the area. Melton has been declared the Rural Heart of Live Music and Melstrum Ukulele Orchestra is proud to be part of this, entertaining locals and visitors alike at various events held in the town. Oh, and don't forget other venue appearances, especially the Sunday afternoon sessions at the Noels Arms!
